Minäpä olen nähnyt näitä livenä Violariumin ristipistoviikonlopussa. ;) Itsellä ei ollut aikaa pistellä kuorta kilpailuun (ja harmittaa kyllä aikalailla näin jälkikäteen), mutta täytyypä kyllä sanoa, että on muuten TODELLA vaikeaa valita noista kauneinta! I just have to, have to, have to promote this. Have a look at Violarium's Stitched mailart contest envelopes and vote for your favorite! (There is also a 50 € gift sertificate for one random voter.)

Unfortunately I didn't have time to stitch an envelope for this competition (bummer). But after seeing these "live" at cross stitch weekend couple of weeks ago I have to say that I will have such a hard time choosing ONE pretty mailart and only vote for that particular one... Oh my, I just have to go and admire them more... ;)

I have been stitching secrets again, one very "hush hush" project so no photos of it. Sorry!

BUT there is something I wanted to show you since I came across it by accident today. This looks huuuuuge and amazing! I couldn't post a proper photo but go ahead and click on the image and you'll see the design better. This is Victoria Sampler's Heirloom Stitching Sampler.

Olen aivan surkeasti jälkijunassa kaikkien blogien lukemisessa. Tällä hetkellä taitaa olla Google Readerissa n. +300 lukematonta kirjoitusta. Tuskanhikeä pukkaa päälle jo tässä vaiheessa (kun tiedän, että tilanne ei tule ainakaan helpottumaan ihan heti) ja varmasti jossain vaiheessa joudun kylmän rauhallisesti merkkaamaan niitä luetuksi ilman lukemista... Argh.

I am soo behind on readng blog posts. I believe I have something like +300 unread posts in my Google Reader at the moment. I try to keep up and regularly empty my account but at the moment the situation looks a bit hopeless. I know I won't have much time to read the posts in the next couple of days so I already know that I'm probably going to have to just mark them "read" without actually reading them. Bummer.

Here's a little something I grabbed from Nicole's blog.

1.) How do you hold your fabric? I stitch in hand so I roll the fabric up from the left side and hold the roll with my left hand. (same as Nicole).
2) Floss licker? I suppose I have to confess.
3) How do you thread your needle? See the previous question.
5) Are you a needle loser? Nope, haven't lost any!
6) What fabric do you prefer to stitch on? Evenweave and linen are my favourites.
7) Bobbins or floss bags? I used to have them on bobbins but got tired of winding them. So now I have my floss in floss bags. Some are still wound on a bobbin though...
8) Are you a scissors collector? No I'm not. Allthough I think I might be heading that way...
9) Do you do your own framing, and if so, do you lace or pin? I do my own framing sometimes and I will always lace. Same with the pinkeeps.
10) Are you a floss floozy? I am. Can't resist the fabrics either.
11) Silk? Well I will stitch with them but I don't know if I like them or not.... .
12) Railroader? Never.
13) Are you a pattern or designer snob? Designer snob lately. ;)
14) Do you get antsy when you give someone a stitched gift? Yes, I always worry that it's not good enough.
15) Have you reached S.A.B.L.E.? (= Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy) I am definitely on my way there. :D
16) Do you wash your projects? No I don't.

I am obviously going throuhg a faze of LHN/CCN these days. I just started stitching LHN's Pumpkins, it will look like this eventually. I will also start stitching something secret tonight. I have been planning it for a long, long time and now I just have to start stitching it if I want to finish it on time. ;)

Good luck continues. I won recently at Maajo's blog and this lovely Christmas ornament arrived today. It's funny 'cause I have seen this particular ornament at the JCS Christmas Ornaments 2007 magazine and I was planning on stitching it some day. :) Well, now I don't have to stitch it. :)

Minua on potkinut viime aikoina hyvä onni. Tässä ensimmäinen lähetys (luvassa lisää polkkauksia aiheesta), joka saapui Singaporesta asti. Voitin tämän Cindyn blogiarvonnassa, jossa hän juhli samaan aikaan synttäreitään ja uuden kauppansa Lemonstitchesin avaamista.

Pussukka oli pakattu ihanaan vihreään harsomaiseen kankaaseen ja se tuoksui aivan ihanalle! Sisältä paljastui tämä iki-ihana pikkuruinen meikki?pussukka. On muuten aivan älyttömän siististi ommeltu, Cindy voi kyllä hyvillä mielin olla ylpeä töistään! (PS. Parempia kuvia Cindyn blogissa.)

I have had some really good luck with the drawings lately. (You'll probably see more postings about this matter.) Here's one thing I received yesterday all the way from Singapore. :) I won this at Cindy's blog drawing, she was celebrating her birthday and opening of her new shop called Lemonstitches.

The purse is absolutely gorgeous and I love it! For some reason or another it smelled absolutely lovely when it arrived and on top of everything else, it is sewn very neatly. She can really be proud of her work! (PS. Better photos in Cindy's blog.)

One year in the blogging world. Well, actually it's already over one year since this blog had it's bday in August. I've just had such a busy life lately that I'm starting these belated celebrations now. I lived in Cheltenham for two years a long time ago and I absolutely love to see how the town looks these days.
