En ala. Miksi kaikki Country Cottage Needleworksin mallit on näin ihania? Minä en kerta kaikkiaan pysty pistelemään niin nopeasti kuin näiltä tulee uusia malleja. Höh. Sais edes lottovoiton, niin vois jäädä vähäksi aikaa täyspäiväiseksi pistelijäksi.

Tässä My Needle's Work tällä hetkellä. Täti on kyllä aika hurjan näköinen ilman silmiä... ;-D Kankaana mulla on Zweigartin 36 ct Edinboro "Cream" ja on jotenkin tosi kivan tuntoinen pisteltävä!

Here's my progress on My Needle's Work. The lady seems a bit strange at the moment without the eyes... ;-D I'm stitching this on Zweigart's 36 ct Edinboro "Cream" and I really like the feel of this fabric!
Anoppi toi eilen meikäläiselle komean amppelin "kun minä eilen huomasin, että ei sulla ole täällä YHTÄÄN kukkia"... Hortonomin taidoista kertoo varmasti se, että kun ripustin amppelia kuistille, niin onnistuin heti katkaisemaan yhden oksan. Syvä huokaus.

Tässä hieman niitä luvattuja kuvia edistymisestä. Sain muuten tuon renkulan noille langoille Marialta ja täytyy kyllä sanoa, että on ollut kätevä. Oon kyllä harkinnut pitkään ja hartaasti, että ostaisinko noita kerralla parikymmentä ja laittaisin kaikki varastossa olevat DMC-pussitkin tuommoisille renkaille.
Edit: En ymmärrä miksi mun kamera haluaa väen vängällä tehdä kaikista kankaista harmaita tai sinisiä. Tämäkin kangas on kermanvärinen. KERMANVÄRINEN.

Here's couple of pictures of my progress on My Needle's Work. Maria gave me the thread ring and it has been really handy. I'm really considering on buying more of them, maybe even for all of my stored DMC's as well.
Edit: I don't understand why my camera insists on making all of the fabrics blue or gray. This fabric is cream. CREAM.

LHN:n sivulle on ilmestynyt kuvat seuraavista Little Women -sarjan paketeista. Nyt voi huokaista helpotuksesta, että onneksi nämä olivat yhtä nättejä kuin ensimmäinenkin... (Niin, kröhöm, mähän laitoin jo nämäkin automaattilähetykseen eHandcraftsilta... Ja oli vähän semmoinen "sika säkissä" -ostos...)

The rest of the Little Women thread pack pictures are now posted on LHN website. They really are lovely aren't they? I think my favorite is the Reading one. These are on my automatic shipping program from eHandcrafts and I'm glad to see that these three are as lovely as the first one. (Which I haven't received yet btw.)

Huomaatteko? Se vähän aikaa sitten vaivannut pistelyinnon puute on jälleen kadonnut kuin tuhka tuuleen. :) En kerta kaikkiaan voinut vastustaa tätä LHN:n My Needle's Workia, joten aloin sitten pistelemään... Valmis malli tulee näyttämään tältä - paitsi, että tuon kukon tilalle tulee pupu. :)

Yippee, I have found my stitching mojo again! :) I just couldn't resist this LHN My Needle's Work and I just had to start stitching it... This is how the finished piece will look - except there will be a bunny instead of a rooster. :)
Oletteko muuten huomanneet, että LHN:ltä on tullut TAAS uusia malleja?

No tässä se nyt sitten on, reunan kanssa pisteltynä. Tulin siihen tulokseen, että 30 cm pitkä työ on ehkä vähän liian pitkä neularullaksi...
Värit tuossa valokuvassa on "hieman" pielessä. Tuo kangas on ihan oikeasti ruskeasävyinen eikä mikään sininen. En nyt jaksa vekslata kameran kanssa, niin saa luvan kelvata. ;)

So here it is then, with stitched border. I decided to stitch it in the end because I thought that 30 cm long finished piece is maybe too long for a needle roll...
The colours of this photo are completely weird. The fabric is light brown, but I can't be bothered with the camera at the moment so this will have to do... ;)

So I'm not a big fan of roosters... But thankfully I have saved a photo of a piece where someone stitched a bunny instead of the rooster. It looked so much better and I will copy the idea. ;)

Huomaa kyllä, että en ole blogannut mitenkään kauhean aktiivisesti viime aikoina ristipistoista. Tää Little House Needleworksin Summer Sampler on valmistunut jo monta kuukautta sitten, mutta on ihan täydellisesti unohtunut näyttää kuvaa...
Malli on pistelty Crescent Coloursin Belle Soie -silkkilangoilla. Aika haperoa lankaa oli jotenkin... Hirveän lyhyellä pätkällä piti pistellä koko ajan, koska lanka hiuti niin paljon käytössä. Mutta tosi kauniit värit ja onhan tuo silkkilanka niin erilaisen tuntoista kuin muliinilangat. Lopputulokseen olen ihan tyytyväinen ja aion kyllä pistellä ainakin toisen työn tätä samaa sarjaa.
(Sori, kuva on aika tumma... Ei kesäillan valo riittänytkään näköjään.)

You can certainly tell that I haven't been blogging about my cross stitching so much lately. I finished this LHN's Summer Sampler couple of months ago but I have completely forgotten to show you a photo of it... Well, here you are.
I stitched this with Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk threads. I do like the feel of the silk threads - and these colours are so beautiful - but one thing I didn't like is that you had to stitch with really short thread 'cause it frayed so much... But I am happy with the finished piece and I am planning on stitching the whole series with same threads.
